Three near misses straddle Enterprise CV-6 during the Battle of Santa Cruz, 26 October 1942. Several ships in her screen can be seen, manuevering sharply to keep up with the carrier's violent gyrations. One enemy plane can be seen low over the water, forward of the carrier, and several others are overhead.
