Photographer's Mate Marion Riley
Enterprise Photographer's Mate Marion L. Riley, with his motion picture camera, which was damaged during the August 1942 Battle of the Eastern Solomons. Operating this camera from the ship's bridge, Riley filmed the Japanese attack on 24 August 1942, including the well-known image of a bomb at the instant it exploded on the ship's flight deck.
