CDR John Crommelin (right) and vaudeville comedian Joe E. Brown in conversation. Enterprise's Air Officer and Executive Officer from June 1942 to September, Crommelin has been remembered as "of all the men who sailed in her, his was the personality which most indelibly stamped itself on Enterprise."

Brown was a well-know comedian of the time who "worked tirelessly entertaining troops in all corners of the world" during the war.
