Clifton R. Bassett, a wounded aircrewman from Yorktown's VB-3, is carried down Enterprise's flight deck, 4 June 1942. Bassett was wounded during the afternoon attack on the Japanese carrier Hiryu. Bassett's pilot, ENS Bunyan R. Cooner walks to the immediate right of the stretcher party.
