Source: Navy Historical Center The Japanese aircraft carrier Zuikaku, on the date of her commissioning, 25 September 1941. Zuikaku, and her sistership Shokaku, were the most powerful carriers Japan produced, capable of carrying 72 strike aircraft and of speeds up to 35 knots. |
