| Source: Donald Gordon A Kawanishi H8K long range reconnaissance flying boat: codenamed 'Emily' by the Allies. With a maximum speed of 290mph, the Emily was the fastest flying boat of the Second World War. The Emily's heavy defensive armament made it a very formidable opponent in the air. |
