Anti-aircraft fire disintegrates a Japanese 'Kate' torpedo bomber, 4 December 1943. Following morning raids against Kwajalein, the US carrier task force was subjected to determined attacks, lasting well into the night. Carrier Lexington CV-16 suffered damage from a torpedo hit on her stern.
