A Nakajima B5N Type 97 torpedo bomber: codenamed 'Kate' by the Allies. Kates inflicted a great deal of damage in the first year of the war, playing an instrumental role at Pearl Harbor, and delivering crippling blows against US carriers Lexington CV-2, Yorktown CV-5 and Hornet CV-8.
