Ensign Walt "Red" Fingers (left) and Jack Glass ARM 2/c of VB-10, photographed aboard the Big E in January 1943. Glass served in Enterprise for two years, including duty in VF-6, VB-10 and the ship's V-4 Division.

Fingers was later killed in action over the Philippines in 1944, after Air Group Ten's second rotation with Enterprise.
