Seaman Robert J. Colson, who served in Enterprise from April 1941 to November 1942.

Aside from viewing the first year of the war from his battle station on the Big E's starboard forward 5" anti-aircraft battery, Colson also served as port-side sternhook for Admiral Halsey's barge while in port. Colson was injured in line of duty and received an honorable discharge in March 1943.
