In her past, Manawa Nui transported Australian "Coastwatchers" in the Solomon Islands, and served as Admiral Halsey's personal yacht at his headquarters in Noumea, New Caledonia.
Built in New Zealand, Manawa Nui still sails and is homeported in Monterey, California.
