Present-day photo of the yacht Manawa Nui. Nearing completion in New Zealand at the opening the Pacific War, Manawa Nui ferried Australian "Coastwatchers" in the Solomon Islands, and later served as the personal yacht of Vice Admiral Halsey, during his tenure as Commander South Pacific.

Today, Manawa Nui is homeported in Monterey, California.
