Enterprise CV-6 approaches Pearl Harbor on 30 May 1945, following the Kamikaze attack of 14 May 1945. Despite the total destruction of her No. 1 elevator (covered by tarp), the Big E was still capable of conducting flight operations, as evidenced by the two VF(N)-90 Hellcats spotted on her catapults.
