A 578-ft long pennant flying above her - one foot for every day she'd been away from the United States - Enterprise pulls out of Pearl Harbor and heads for the west coast naval base at Bremerton, WA, 1 June 1945. The pennant was so long that ten balloons were needed to keep it aloft.
