TBMs and F6Fs from Ford Island salute Enterprise CV-6 - forming a "V" for Victory and an "E" for Enterprise - as she enters Pearl Harbor, 30 May 1945. Enterprise departed Pearl Harbor less than 48 hours later, returning to Bremerton, Washington, for repair of damage inflicted by the Kamikaze attack of 14 May.
