Crewmen inspect the 20-ft hole left in Enterprise's flight deck by the 14 May 1945 Kamikaze attack. Note the obvious upward bulge in the deck behind the men. In the foreground is a corner of the forward elevator opening. The elevator was completely destroyed by the attack.
