Damaged 40mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Platforms
A crashing enemy plane sheared off the outboard shields of the two 40mm anti-aircraft gun platforms on Enterprise's port quarter, 11 April 1945. The guns and mounts themselves (Nos. 8 and 10) were undamaged.
