Interior view of a patch covering hull damage caused by a crashing enemy plane, 11 April 1945. The plane's impact or subsequent bomb blast opened seams in three fuel tanks in Enterprise's port quarter. Leakage from the tanks resulted in a large oil slick trailing the carrier for about an hour.
