Enterprise swings into Pearl Harbor's main channel, never to return, 25 September 1945. Less than four years had passed since the night of December 8-9, 1941, when she'd slipped into the harbor under cover of night, replenished by light of fires still burning on Arizona, and escaped to open ocean before sunrise.
