Task Group 58.1 Flag Rear Admiral J. W. Reeves (left) looks on as Fighting Ten Hellcats are launched by his flagship, Enterprise CV-6, January 1944. Beginning on 29 January, Enterprise and other ships of TG 58.1 struck at Japanese bases on Taroa and Maloelap to cover the 1 February landings on Kwajalein.
