Enterprise CV-6 ploughs through 65-75 foot waves in the North Atlantic, as she returns 4413 US military passengers to the States as part of Operation Magic Carpet, 21 December 1945. The Big E's bow received storm damage during this voyage, but she maintained her watertight integrity.
