Enterprise CV-6, photographed near Pearl Harbor in Spring 1942.

Considerable controversy =) exists as to exactly when this photograph was taken. The dual 20mm mounts visible at her bow indicate the photo was not taken before late March 1942. However, there is no 1.1" bow placement, indicating the photo could not have been taken later than early June. Many thanks to Richard Mathsen for helping to pin down the approximate dates.
