LCDR John C. Phillips, commanding officer of Torpedo Squadron Six (VT-6): 10 November to 4 December 1943. Following the death of AG-6 commander LCDR Edward "Butch" O'Hare on 26 November 1943, LCDR Phillips assumed command of Air Group Six on 4 December 1943.
