Insignia of Night Fighting Squadron Ninety. The Navy news release describing the insignia indicates the woman evokes a old wooden ship's figurehead, her bat-like appearance represents VF(N)-90's mission to strike at night, while her hair represents courage and her mask secrecy. With NAG-90, VF(N)-90 was deployed with Enterprise from 24 December 1944 to 31 May 1945.
