Insignia of Fighting Squadron Two. VF-2 served one short tour in Enterprise CV-6, from 10 November to 9 December 1943. Air Group Commander Edward "Butch" O'Hare was lost during this tour, leading the first carrier-based night fighter interception of the war, 26 November 1943.
