The Most Decorated Ship of the Second World War

Insignia of Bombing Squadron Three. VB-3 was first deployed with Enterprise CV-6 during the Doolittle Raid, 8-26 April 1942, relieving VS-6 which had suffered heavy losses in the first months of the war. Like VB-5, VB-3 operated from the Big E during the Battle of Midway, following the Japanese attacks on Yorktown CV-5.
