| Source: Arnold W. Olson Bomb damage officers' quarters in Enterprise's compartment A-306, caused by the second bomb to hit the ship during the Battle of Santa Cruz, 26 October 1942. Repair Party II was stationed in this compartment when the bomb struck, and was wiped out by the blast. |
