NAG-90 commander William I. Martin (standing) tells a story in Enterprise's wardroom, 24 December 1944. In the back left corner is LT Jerry Flynn, the Big E's de facto Master of Ceremonies. Immediately to the left of Martin is Rear Admiral Matthias Gardner, Commander Carrier Division Seven: the first night carrier division, of which Enterprise was flagship.
